A LANDLORD prosecuted for leaving a woman suffering from cancer and her family without hot water for five months has appealed her sentence.
In June, magistrates fined Elizabeth Blessing-Smith, of Dyne Road, London, £3,915, after the complaint was made by the tenant in Groves Close, Colchester.
Blessing-Smith was prosecuted by Colchester Council.
An appeal hearing is expected to be heard within the next month.
