Essex man dies in Lake District
A MAN has died after getting into difficulty in Coniston Water.
Emergency services were called around 3.55pm on Sunday after the 21-year-old man, from Essex, was spotted by members of the public in distress.
He was taken by air ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital where he died.
He has been identified as Matthew Oliver Joseph, of Harold Hill, Romford, Essex.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been passed to the coroner.
