ACTOR Duncan Preston revived one of his famous roles as he took part in an antiques road trip to Mersea island.
The TV actor, who has appeared in shows including All Creatures Great and Small, Bergerac, Casualty, Emmerdale and Coronation Street, is well-known for his role as Clifford in Victoria Wood’s Acorn Antiques.
And Clifford would have been in his element on the Antiques Road Trip.
On the show, experts and celebrities team up to travel around the country in classic cars searching for treasures and competing to make the most money at auction.
Duncan, along with antiques expert and auctioneer Philip Serrell, called in to Poop Deck antiques in Coast Road, West Mersea, which also features Frock of Ages Vintage clothing shop.
Heather Jarvis, who runs Frock of Ages Vintage, said Duncan and Philip spent about two hours in Poop Deck antiques.
She said: “They were both charming, especially Duncan. He was delightful."
