ONE of the men who carried out the horrific murder of a soldier in London yesterday is from Essex.
Sources say both attackers were known to the security services prior to the attack.
Police have yet to release the names of the two suspects, who are both under arrest and receiving treatment for injures after being shot by police.
There are reports one of the men is 28-year-old Michael Adebolajo, from Romford.
He is believed to be the man filmed in a black hat in footage obtained by ITV News.
He said as long as British troops were in Muslim countries "you people will never be safe".
"Remove your governments, they don't care about you."
In the footage the victim can clearly be seen in the background, while the attacker talks to the camera in a London accent.
