A CAMPAIGN in the memory of schoolboy who killed himself after he was bullied has been launched.

The Ayden’s Law website, set up in memory of Philip Morant pupil Ayden Olson, went live at midnight on Saturday.

Mum Shy Keenan has teamed up with the Sun newspaper and charity Beatbullying to call for talks with Prime Minsiter David Cameron on the issue of new children's antibullying laws.

Ayden, 14, is believed to have taken an overdose at his home on March 14 this year.

Mrs Keenan, 43, said: “Our wonderful son Ayden died with his spirit defeated.

“He was bullied to death at school and driven out of pain and despair to take his own life.

“We have committed to carrying his dreams of bully free schools ahead with Ayden's Law.”

The website, aydenslaw.org, contains suggestions of what the anti-bullying bill could include, and methods to increase prevention and support for parents whose children are carrying out bullying.

Mrs Keenan wants to turn Colchester’s Philip Morant secondary school into the UK’s flagship anti-bullying school.
