ROYALTY visited Harwich to see the inner workings of a maritime organisation.

Princess Anne has been given a tour around Trinity House, in Harwich Quay, in her role as master of the organisation.

Residents braved high winds and freezing temperatures to catch a glimpse of the Princess Royal as she arrived this afternoon, March 12.

She was welcomed by dignitaries including the High Sherriff of Essex, Christopher Palmer Tomkinson and Lord Lieutenant Petre as well as leaders in Essex County and Tendring Councils.

Then she took a private tour of the offices and buoy yard to see the operational side of Trinity House.
