Essex tops roadworks list
1:53pm Friday 8th March 2013 in News
THERE are 6,000 roadworks currently taking place on Essex roads.
The county council topped a table of 81 local authorities who responded to a Freedom of Information request about works on their network.
East Yorkshire Council came second in the list with 2,066 ongoing roadworks.
The figures released by County Hall exclude works by utility companies or external developers, but do include planned works at the design stage but not started and works completed but not signed off.

No sign of pothole repairs coming to Acland Avenue. Guess the only way to get things done is DIY.

It is March, so they are using up the unspent monety from the road maintenance budget. Any potholes not repaired by 31st March will wait a very long time.
It seems every day I go into town, more new tarmac has been laid.
dowdy clacton is stepping up to the plate at long last and starting to look good.
I just hope when the april 5th cut off comes, much more new road topping has been laid.
