In Today's Gazette: 'Wild West' Drive-By Shooting Pair Jailed

TWO men who carried out a "Wild West" style drive-by shooting in a Colchester street are starting lengthy jail sentences.

A simple row over a drink led to Dean Edwards being asked to leave TP's Sports Bar in Queen Street.

With the help of a friend, Edwards responded by getting a shotgun, driving past the bar and firing three times as terrified drinkers and passers-by fled the scene.

Sentencing Edwards to 15 years in jail and his accomplice to six years, Judge David Turner said: "You may expect this in Tombstone Arizona, not Colchester."

I am waiting for somebody who is from Tombstone, Arizona to pop up and say this is derogatory to their town and they are so offended they have to sue the whole British judicial system for the mental anguish caused.
