Germany based troops to return to Colchester - massive investment in soldier's homes

TROOPS based in Germany will return home to Colchester by 2016, it has been announced.
Around 11,000 troops have been withdrawn and there will be a £2 billion investment in army housing.
Around £1 billion will be spent on new houses and a further £800 million on the refurbishment of military bases.
Further details will be announced by Defence Secretary Philip Hammond at lunchtime today.

Obviously can't be true. But as angryman said an extra residents will at least be in full time work and spend money in the community.

don't worry there not all going to get posted to Colchester at least half will be single/unaccompanied so they will just be in single room accommodation. Be good for the town with more people on a decent disposable income.
