AN ANNUAL charity fundraiser has launched in Colchester.

The Great Daffodil Appeal, raising cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care, began with a town centre collection.

Volunteers wearing mad hats will be handing out daffodil badges in return for donations.

Money raised by the appeal helps to provide free nursing care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes in the community.

The only thing more objectionable than a person dressed as a daffodil is someone dressed as a leek.especially on march 1st.I might have contributed otherwise.a touch of the old racist again.
