Women's Refuge given £24,600 in grant funding

A NORTH Essex charity has been awarded more than £24,600 in grant money.
Colchester and Tendring Women’s Refuge was given the money by Essex County Council in the latest round of the Family Innovation Fund money.
The refuge was given £24,623.71 as part of the programme, which helps community and voluntary organisations working with children, young people and vulnerable adults.
The Centre for Action on Rape and Abuse, Colchester and Tendring Youth Enquiry Service and Home-Start Colchester were also given funding but Essex County Council could not confirm how much.
