MORE than 600 members of a choir descended on the Mercury Theatre to record a Red Nose Day single.
Funky Voices, an Essex based singing group, offered Comic Relief organisers a track from their forthcoming new album as a charity single.
After getting the go-ahead, the group decided to record a cover of Relight My Fire, originally a hit for Dan Hartman in 1979 and again for Take That, and Lulu, in 1993.
It was recorded on Sunday and will be released on iTunes on March 11.
