Bikers and their machines wow Col Utd crowds

BIKERS displayed their impressive machines at a football match fundraiser.

Motorcyclists attended Weston Homes Community Stadium, where Colchester United were entertaining Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.

The members of the East Anglian D-Day Memorial Ride committee were rattling tins to raise money for the British Armed forces.

The group is set to take part in its fourth annual D-Day memorial ride on June 8 between Colchester and Rettendon.

Its a shame the football team couldnt wow the crowd. RIP Colchester United. Heading down the leagues and back to the Conference.

I was rather more impressed by the Rock Choir, a huge group of 60 or more singers, who entertained us outside the South Stand before the match, and then for a short while on the pitch at half time. I agree with Mr Honest that the U's were terrible. I'll be there on Tuesday night hoping for a miracle against another strong team, but really just hoping that the team will keep playing for the full 95 minutes and limit the damage to a more respectable score.
Up the U's.

Its such a shame for col u`s
they have a high profile stadium, a high profile businessman backing them, a new seperate training field, but still fail.
I wonder what a poverty stricken back street team would do with facities that the u`s have.

If you call the whcs a high profile stadium then the judgement must be along the lines of something from ancient rome.how the design ever got an h&e stamp of approvall beats me.a visit to place leaves a body reliving the dire experiences of the german troops at Stalingrad. We might just beat yeovil by freezing them into submission on tuesday night.a game where those attending should be paid to go rather than pay.the place is concrete mausoleum soulless!

I understand your heartfelt comment wellnow, but the Imposing sight of the stadium from the main road tends to be, well, Imposing,
at least to onlookers driving passed.
No doubt simular mausoleums look the same.
