Firefighters called to fire at amusement arcade
4:27pm Wednesday 20th February 2013 in News
CLACTON’S popular Magic City amusement arcade will reopen tomorrow morning following a fire this afternoon.
Four fire crews were called to the arcade, in Pier Avenue, shortly before 4pm today.
A small fire is thought to have started in a void between floors following an electrical fault.
Crews used breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
Owner Billy Peak said: “We will be open in the morning. We think it was an electrical fault.
“The fire brigade got here very quickly and identified where the fire was.
“One small area will be condoned off.”
Mr Peak said a number of arcade customers were evacuated after fire alarms went off.

Crews used breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire? Very clever those firemen, what did they do beat out the flames with them? It should read crews wearing breathing apparatus used one water jet to extinguish the blaze.

I heard people were trapped inside the crooked house & the fire may have been caused by the volcano in the ballpool!
