A12 closed after car crashes over barrier

A CAR has left the road and gone over a crash barrier closing the A12.

A diversion was put into place from junction 28, near the Weston Home Community Stadium, on the northbound carriageway after damage was caused to about 20 metres of barrier.

The crash took place at junction 29 by the slip road with the A120.

A white Kia Picanto crashed just after 7.30am.

A second crash, on the eastbound A120, where a car drove into a sign near Frating, also partially blocked the road.

Emergency services were called to the second incident minutes after the first.

Both were cleared by 9am and the roads re-opened.

i cant have been far behind the guy at frating, he must have been driving like a complete **** in his little silver sporty thing to leave the road. the surface was wet but there was plenty of grip. badly maintained car?? or stupid speedy sporty driver ?? hope the police prosecute him and teach him a lesson !

Whats the issue with the junction at The Col U stadium ? Since it was opened there appear to have been regular incidents here. It does not appear to be particularly challenging but it does seem to feature regularly

In my reckoning the slip road is much too short and cars donot match the speed of the cars already on the A12.

Probably a heap that someone was trying to sell at the Manheim Auctions. Or just an idiot delivery driver taking one there that don't care about the vehicle.

Kia picanto sporting?
suprises me that one.
I thought they were little cheap as chips new minicars starting at £7500...

poorly maintained or checked tyres cause sudden changes in lane discipline.

Blame the driver as usual, we will never know why. I think some mistake the new junction for the Ipswich one, slowing down traffic would help, but how?
