In today's Gazette: Police are hunting a man who stabbed and slashed another with a knife in a Colchester street.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was attacked outside teh Co-op store in Fivefields Court, Greenstead.
* An Iron Age burial site has been uncovered beneath the PlayGolf golf club in Lexden.
Archaeologists made the discovery while excavating land ahead of a new £1 million clubhouse development.
* Princess Anne is to visit Harwich in her role as master of Trinity House.
Police are investigating after the body of a woman was found in Halstead.
The 40-year-old's body was found in a flat in Parker Way. Police are now awaiting the results of a post mortem examination.
