GAZETTE readers have bagged great electrical prizes.

The lucky subscribers won TVs and blenders thanks to Colchester electrical store Stellisons, on Harwich Road, after their Astute card numbers were printed in the paper.

Everyone who subscribes to the Gazette gets an Astute card which entitles them to great money saving deals every day.

Cindy Baker, from St Osyth, also won a TV. She said: “I was really surprised when I found out I had won as I don’t usually win prizes.

“I just said to my husband we had better check the numbers so it was a shock when I saw ours. We have decided which room to put the TV in yet.

“We have been subscribed to the Gazette for 10 years or so, and the new card scheme is brilliant. With all the money-off deals as well it is very good.”

Old Heath resident Tony Davey said his wife would be putting their new blender to good use, while David Lawrence, a reader for more than 10 years said he had only won horse races before scooping a TV when his Astute card number appeared in the paper.

Karen Mole, from the Gazette promotions team, said: “I’m pleased for all the lucky Astute winners.

“I’d encourage everybody to check their unique numbers and visit the website to check out all the great offers available only with the Astute card.”

Stellisons store manager Matt Turner said: “It is a pleasure to work in conjunction with the Gazette and to put a smile on the faces of the winners.”
