Author Liz Trenow with her book The Last Telegram
A NOVELIST is celebrating after her book has been nominated for a national award.
Author Liz Trenow, known to many as Liz Curry, will find out later this month if her debut book The Last Telegram has scooped Epic Romantic Novel of the Year.
It has been shortlisted by judges for the Romantic Novelists’ Association and is up against other top works including 2012 Orange Prize winner The Song of Achilles, by Madeleine Miller.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on February 26 hosted by Judy Finnigan and Richard Madeley. The winner of each category will then go on to fight for the overall Romantic Novel of the Year announced in May.

Good luck to this Liz, hope she wins the award, following in the footsteps of Maureen Lee, also of Colchester, who in 2000 was named Romantic Novelist of the Year.
