IS this scooter obsessed granny the oldest mod in Britain?
Maureen Lear, who turns 70-years-old next month, has been riding Vespas since passing her test in 1961.
She owns a parka jacket, Doc Martin boots, listens to The Who, and has pictures of cult mod film, Quadrophenia, hanging in her home in Rayleigh Close, Colchester.
Now moving into her seventh decade, she has re-applied for her licence and backs frequent tests for older drivers.
