THE MOTHER of boy who suffered a terrifying asthma attack has praised the emergency services quick response.

Alexis Smith, 33, dialled 999 after son, Daniel Smith, 8, starting wheezing and panicking at midnight on Wednesday.

A paramedic was on the scene within six minutes and an ambulance followed shortly after.

She also praised 999 operators and staff at Colchester General Hospital.

It is good to read a story where people are happy with their medical treatment. Asthma attacks can be terrifying and I have also attended Colchester General and received sympathetic and professional care.

It is a sad reflection really, when all you can say is about the age of the mother in this story. As Bdaguy stated '' it's nice to see a positive story''
