ESSEX County Council hopes to give a £2 million boost to the local economy.
As part of its economic growth strategy the authority has set aside cash for job creation and infrastructure improvements.
An additional £875,000 will go towards education, employment and skills, with £650,000 for roads and other infrastructure and £400,000 for business support.
The cash pot, part of the proposed 2013-14 budget, is set to be approved by full council on February 12.
