YOUNGSTERS improved their bakery skills as part of a cookery course.
The Oak Tree Community Centre in the St Anne’s estate is running the six week course for three to five-year-olds, and their parents, and also children aged between six and 11.
Workshops run every Thursday and the kids learn about both savoury and sweet dishes at the centre at St Anne's Community Hall in Harwich Road.
The course has been funded by Colchester Borough Homes, while the Essex Community Foundation has given money to the centre to open a youth cafe from March on Friday evenings.
