Free trees event postponed by a fortnight

PEOPLE can pick up trees and shrubs for free later this month.

The Trees for Years event, run by Colchester Council and local company Officeis, will take place in the car park of Rowan House, in Sheepen Road, from 10am to 1pm.

Residents, community groups, schools and parish councils can pick up bare root trees and shrubs.

It was due to take place this weekend, but was postponed because of the weather.
