In today's Gazette: A teenager has been jailed for ten years for stabbing a man after a petty argument.

Charlie Ainscough, 19, forced his way into a house in Langham Drive, Clacton, before carrying out the vicious attack in front of the victim's partner and children.

*  A widow has spoken of her shock after her husband collapsed on Colchester's North Hill and died.

Great grandfather Raymond Challis, 74, of Nancy Smith Close, Colchester, was found behind his car after making a delivery.

* Thieves stole a couple's classic car while they were on their honeymoon.

Sam and Joy Bradshaw's 1982 Ford Cortina was one of just 20 in the country. It was stolen from outside their home in Halstead while they were in Finland.

*Hygiene officers found out-of-date food during an inspection of the four star Pier Hotel in Harwich.

Colchester Court was told the problems centre on the labelling system. Paul Milsom, owner of Milsoms Hotels, said any changes required would be made.
