UNEMPLOYMENT dropped marginally in Colchester last month.
The latest government figures, released yesterday, reveal 3,085 people were claiming Jobseekers’ Allowance on December 13.
This was down by 241 from the previous year, a drop of 0.2 per cent in the borough.
A total of 2.7 per cent of Colchester’s population are claiming the benefit, compared to 6.1 per cent in Tendring where 3,434 people were on JSA last month.
