First published in

ARSONISTS are thought to be responsible for a caravan fire in Colchester.

Two crews from Colchester Fire Station were called to the blaze at Rockhampton Walk at about 8.15pm on Sunday.

Firefighters used two hose reel jets to tackle the blaze.

The incident commander reported that the caravan was 100 per cent alight.

A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire is thought to be suspicious.
