Shops fare well in Christmas period

FASHION shops and jewellers were the winners in the Christmas and sales period.
Shops in Colchester had varied trading success during December according to shopping centre managers.
Both Derek Ashbee, manager of Culver Square, and Paul Bentham, manager of Lion Walk shopping centre, said shops enjoyed a mixed bag of figures but the feeling was not bad.
