WATER had to be cut off to homes in Stanway as engineers repaired a leak.
Winstree Road was partially closed today while an Anglian Water team fixed the leak in a six-inch PVC pipe.
The water supply to 21 homes was stopped between 12.30pm and 1.55pm while the repair was conducted.
A spokesman for the water company apologised for any disruption caused.
