AN ESTATE in Colchester has been given an award for its tidiness.

Greenstead has collected a Keep Britain Tidy Neighbourhood Quality Mark after being put forward by Colchester Borough Homes.

The area was recognised as being “cleaner, safer and greener” after work by the council housing body along with the street wardens and community groups.

Ha ha ha. That's brilliant. Do they not count needles, broken glass, dog poo, beer cans and condoms as litter?

I am we'll pleased for the greenstead community. I have worked in many houses on greenstead and found many people pleasant. of course there is always one or two rouges, but, yea a nice community.

A slap in the face for Dillinger and his boxes.

Is that what they would find if they went inside your home. I live in Greenstead and have not seen any of those things in the streets.

Well I'm sure an award given thanks to the work of a few people will make all of the drug use, vandalism and anti social behaviour vanish.

Don't start on the boxes again we already established you lack the intelligence to see the irony in your statement.

Lol, Dillinger, you are by far the easiest person on this forum to wind up. You are sadly also one of the thickest individuals that I have had communication with.

You may want to read some of the comments you have posted on this site before you start labelling others as thick.

Steady on you really don't want to rattle the chain if Mr Waluigi or you too will start to get the rough end of his immature ways. You see he doesn't like people being labelled but it's ok for him to label others as he sees fit, he's quite a strange little man by all accounts

They must be joking! This is a joke right! Greenstead Estate tidy. WHERE!!!! We went to the post office and had to dodge dog mess, cigarette butts, used condoms and broken glass. Anyone who says greenstead is tidy should go to specsavers. Its disgusting. There has been no improvement and doubt it ever will. So glad we moved off that stinking hole!

Did you see the two faces of know it alls standing there for the camera?
The Young's....
Why they should be there I do not know. Why they don't even live on the Estate.

I can think of another estate here in Colchester that is cleaner, safer and a lot nicer to live in, than that ghetto Greenstead.

Just having to go to the post office there at the bottom of Hawthorn Ave. is an assault course. Dog crap, used condoms, drug paraphernalia and so on. Go up into the heart of the estate. You have to dodge it all.

Yes there are some friendly people up there. But one can't help feel like one has walked into the middle of the Bronx.

They are talking out there snobs ****. The side of Greenstead they are talking about is, the top end side of Avon way. Your right hand side if your driving up towards Bromley road.

For sure that looks OK, but that is not the real Greenstead is it.

Just had to go to the shops at the bottom of Hawthorn Ave. Place was a mess. Then went up further this weekend too, and it was just the same.
Just goes to show and prove the point I made before. The picture was taken from the Longview end of the estate and not in the heart, that is the true Greenstead.

Just folly again by two people that don't even live on the estate themselves.
And there they were, standing there smiling for the camera like they are the true reps for the estate.
