Pet charity appeals for New Year furniture

First published in

A PET charity store is encouraging residents to donate furniture to raise money to care for animals.

Charity PDSA, which has a store in Long Wyre Street, Colchester, is appealing for good quality furniture such as settees, beds, desks and chairs.

Brenda Economou, store manager, said: “If you’ve recently redecorated, had a clear out or moved house and have unwanted furniture taking up your valuable space, then why not donate your items to PDSA?

“All donations will help us raise valuable funds to care for the sick and injured pets of local people in need.”

The store can only accept furniture which has a fire warning label relating to 1988 regulations.
