Burglars target caravan in St Osyth

BURGLARS made of with a haul of electrical goods and jewellery worth hundreds of pounds after smashing their way into a caravan.

The thieves broke into the caravan at Seawick Holiday Park, in St Osyth, by forced open a window.

During the burglary, a black 42ins LG 3D television, a black Samsung 3D DVD player, an Armani watch with a crocodile style brown leather strap and rectangular gold leaf face, and a Hugo Boss watch with a black leather strap and rectangular face, were stolen.

A three-figure sum of cash was also taken.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Officers are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area or who may have been offered any of these items for sale.”

The incident happened between 1.30pm on December 2 and 9am on January 3.
