PEDAL-POWER lighted the way for outdoor cinema-goers in Wivenhoe.
Organised by Transition Town Wivenhoe (TTW) a screening of Chasing Ice was held on the King George V playing field on New Year’s Day.
Volunteers pedalling through-out the film kept the bicycle-powered cinema running, allowing dozens of people to enjoy a documentary following three years of life on the Arctic ice through thick and thin.
Jo Wheatley, one of the organisers, said: "The film is incredible and seeing it on the big screen made it so much better. People were sat watching it wrapped in blankets and added to the atmosphere."
