Colchester: Man arrested following police siege

First published in News by

A MAN has been arrested after he threatened police at a flat in Colchester.

Officers were called to the flats in Circuular Road South around 7.30am today following reports of a disturbance.

They closed off a section of the road.

Two hours later they arrested an 18-year-old man who is currently in Colchester General Hospital with cuts and bruises.

An Essex Police spokesman said the injuries had been self-inflicted.

The road has now been re-opened.

See Monday's Gazette for the full story.
