Missing dog found

Gazette: The team plans its strategy. The team plans its strategy.

THE hunt for a missing dog has come to an end after she was found safe and well.

Seven-month old black labrador Bella went missing from a house in Wivenhoe on Christmas Day.

A search party including local residents took part in the hunt for her on Friday.

Bella was eventually found on Saturday.

See Monday's Gazette for more.

I hope Bella is found safe and well soon, I do not know what I would do if one of ours were loose.

I hope she is found safe and sound soon. If this happened to my puppy i would be frantic with worry. I am hoping someone recognises her soon.

So good to see her back at home where she belongs, both Bella and her owners should enjoy a well deserved sleep tonight,

I would just like to personally thank the gazette for running this story with such promptness, and with such a good result. My daughter and I asked many outlets to help us with the search, some were more helpful than others. Thank you to Tesco highwoods, the highwoods visitor centre, and especially to the gazette for getting involved. What a lovely way to bring 2012 to an end with such a result!

My goodness...! It amazes me how people can make such bold statements (mr honest) when not aware of all the facts. The owners were working Xmas day and as apposed to leaving the dog alone she was left with family in wivenhoe from whom she escaped !! Ref the posters comment, we are making every effort to remove them however there were over 50 people putting them up over 5 days therefor I'm sure you can appreciate it will not be a 5 minute job. The point of this wonderful article is to show the kindness of the community and to thank those involved. By making horrid comments it is clear you were not involved! Well done everyone we will be eternally grateful for your efforts

Good that there is a nice ending to this story. Mr Honest, you have clearly not got a clue what you´re talking about.

This is a great example of how social media can be used to good effect. The picture of this dog was coming in from all angles!
