School building project making good progress

WORK on a new building for a Greenstead school is well underway.
Construction of a new L-shaped building, including an IT suite, dining hall and theatre, began this term at Colchester Academy, in Hawthorn Avenue.
Although steelwork only began going up at the beginning of December it is already 70 per cent complete.
Principal Barry Hersom said the project, due to be completed by the summer of 2014 with building finished earlier the same year, was on schedule and he was delighted with its progress.
