THREE new salt bins have been installed on a Colchester estate thanks to the local councillors.
Residents in Oberon, Tippett and Howe Closes in Greenstead can now grit their own road after Colchester councillors paid for the bins.
Each Colchester councillor has been given £2,000 to spend in their ward and Tina Dopson, Tim and Julie Young who represent the St Andrew’s area pooled their cash to spend on the bins and other projects.
The councillors have also bought a tonne of salt with which to fill bins around the estate.
