A HOME was raided while a woman and her young child slept upstairs.
Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Cowdray Avenue, Colchester, sometime between Friday night and this morning.
Thieves broke in through the front window and stole various items including a television and a limited edition red Nintendo Wii.
Police want to hear from any witnesses, in particular anyone who was in the area of Meander Mews and Cowdray Avenue between 9pm on Friday and 5.45am today who may have seen the burglars carrying the items or loading them into a car.
They are also hoping to speak to any residents in Pillbox Walk or Reed Walk, who look out on to Cowdray Avenue and who may have noticed something.
