A SEAL gave park visitors a shock when it emerged from a river in Colchester town centre - almost ten miles inland.
It was spotted by the weir in East Hill park, next to the old Mill Hotel, on Wednesday morning.
Wildlife experts have warned people not to approach it but to report further sightings.
Remarkably, the seal was caught on camera by amateur photographer Dave Lawrence, of Old Heath Road.
