RURAL broadband could be arriving a month sooner than expected after plans received a nod from government.
Essex County Council’s broadband initiative is one step closer after the Essex BDUK Project got approval from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
The search to find a company to roll-out the broadband can begin in early February, meaning a contract can be awarded in late July - a month sooner than expected.
- A survey measuring the demand for superfast broadband across the county to determine which areas of the county should be upgraded first is being run at the Essex County Council website.
