Man escapes knife robbery

A MAN managed to run away after two thugs tried to rob him with a knife.

The victim, 22, was approached from behind by two men in the park behind St John's Road, Clacton, late at night.

He was pulled backwards and the two attackers asked to look in his bag. When the victim refused he was shown a multi-tool including a knife blade, but managed to run away.

The victim was chased for a short while but escaped uninjured and with nothing stolen.

The incident happened at about 10.15pm on Friday November 30.

The man with the knife is white, aged between 20 and early 30s, of stocky build, 5ft 9ins tall, with dark razor-cut short hair, light stubble, wearing a black jacket with a hood, blue baggy jeans, white Reebok or Nike trainers, and had a silver multi-tool with a three inch knife blade.

The other man was also white, around 6ft 3ins tall, of skinny build, wearing a dark navy jacket and black scarf which was worn over his face.

Anyone with information should contact Det Con Luke Howard at Clacton CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The victim should be show reruns of the Jeremy Kyle show. Maybe he'll recognize his attackers.
