UPDATED: A thousand fans queue to see TOWIE star in Colchester

Around 1,000 people queued to meet Joey Essex from TOWIE.
REALITY TV star Joey Essex is appearing in Colchester today.
The Only Way is Essex cheeky chappy, famed for his tight trousers and love of pie 'n' mash, is signing copies of his 2013 calendar.
He will be at the Calendar Club shop in Lion Walk Shopping Centre, Culver Street West, from 11am for about two hours.
Around a thousand fans queued up to see the celeb, with some waiting outside the shop since 5.30am just to get a glimpse of the Ugg-boot wearing TV man.

me and my sister went to the calendar signing and we waited 5 hours to meet the towie star he was very down to earth and was up for a chat it was worth waiting for because hes so lovely so stop saying bad things about him because you havent actually met him

Seriously, if people want to queue 5 hours for a brief bit of small talk with a Z-list celeb, it´s up to them. I´m sure there will be people who get their signed calendar for Xmas for whom that will be the most exciting pressie they get.
