Residents to join forces against developer's plans
2:17pm Wednesday 5th December 2012 in News
RESIDENTS associations are to group together to fight plans to build up to 100 homes.
Welshwood Park and Parsons Heath residents are planning to jointly oppose the plans put forward by developer Dishland, to build on the Gas Rec field, off Bromley Road.
Peter Halliday, Welshwood Park Residents’ Association chairman, said: “We have our concerns but we would very much like to co-ordinate any opposition with the Parsons Heath group.
“We feel joint action would be much more effective so I have written to the chairman of Parsons Heath Residents’ Association about the plans.”
Gillian Bolderstone, chair of the Parsons Heath group, has already signalled her intention to oppose the plans, which also include building a children’s playground and a drop-off and pick-up point for Roach Vale Primary School.
