NEW equipment has been bought for the Essex Air Ambulance after a charity appeal raised more than £14,000.
Three critical care monitors were recently delivered to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT), each costing £25,000.
The kit gives pre-hospital care and the trust is the first air ambulance service in the country to install the Zoll X Series patient monitors.
Two of the older generation monitors have been donated by the charity to an air ambulance service in Hungary as Dr Peter Temesvari, medical director of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services in the Eastern European country, worked with the Essex Air Ambulance in 2009.
