Alarm scares off burglars

POLICE are searching for burglars scared off after activating an alarm.

Officers were called to Grove Avenue, West Mersea, between 7am and 5pm on Saturday.

They left empty handed after the burglar alarm was activated as they tried to force a window.

Anyone with information call detectives at Colchester police station on 101.

Why were the Police trying to force a window? At least the Police left empty handed. Maybe this article needs rewriting?
