A POTTER'S appeal to convert a community hall into a studio and gallery has been dismissed by national planning chiefs.
Pru Green had hoped to demolish the former St John Ambulance hall in Chapel Road, Wivenhoe, and build a new art studio with first floor flat in its place, but the proposal was rejected by Colchester Council's planning committee.
Ms Green appealed to the Planning Inspectorate against the decision, but Inspector Mike Robins today announced he was dismissing the appeal.
