In today's Gazette: Two men have been convicted of a plot to injure a man who was repeatedly stabbed and left for dead.
Edwin Schreech-Powell and Dale Frame were found guilty of conspiring to commit grievous bodily harm to Jamie Usedon in Clacton after a nine week trial.
* Former Colchester schoolgirl Fiona Bevan is celebrating after the song she wrote with pop star Ed Sheeran topped the singles chart.
Her song was picked up by boy band One Direction and Little Things has now reached Number 1.
* Resident of West Mersea have called for safety measures after a woman was knocked down and injured in the morning rush hour.
The woman was flown to Queen's Hospital in Romsford after the accident.
* REcord numbers of Essex Police officers are off work with sickness and stress, new figures have revealed.
