A FIRE broke out in student flats at Essex University.
Five fire crews were called to Harwich block on the Wivenhoe campus at 2.30am on Sunday.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to tackle the fire.
It is understood between ten and 15 students evacuated the flat and no one was harmed.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
