A PAINTBALL company wanting to set up in Layer Woods has been backed by a parish council.

Gunsmoke Paintball has applied for planning permission to set up facilities in the woodland off the B1022 Maldon Road, near Messing.

Last night Tiptree parish councillors gave their backing to the scheme though they raised some concerns about traffic.

This is fantastic! It gives players a safe place to play. It will also be a benefit to the community. Paintball is an excellent team building sport that encourages coordination, cooperation, as well as honesty. I just advise for new players to look up safety and tactics before jumping in head first.
