Rider suffers minor injuries after moped crash

A MOPED rider suffered cuts and bruises and a possible leg injury after a crash this morning.
The accident happened on southbound Westway at 8.32am after the moped collided with a red Volkswagen Polo.
One lane was closed by police while paramedics treated the rider.
PC Tim Coe from Essex Police's Stanway Road Traffic Unit said: "The rider is conscious and breathing and although the extent of his injuries is still being confirmed it is hoped they are slight and only a minor leg injury."
