NHS chiefs repeat cash commitment to Wivenhoe surgery

HEALTH chiefs have repeated their commitment to funding a new surgery site in Wivenhoe.

Dr Paul Watson, regional director of the NHS Commissioning Board, said rental costs of up to £126,000 each year would be met by the authority.

The letter was sent to Bernard Jenkin, MP for Harwich and North Essex, after he wrote to NHS bosses to confirm their position remained the same after long delays in the search for a new medical centre site.
